We work with local industry and farmers to manufacture and research on innovative agro-products for pharmaceutical, construction, energy, paper, food, textile, lubricants, automobile, oil and cordage industries from the industrial hemp crop and now are working to use this model pan-India for poverty alleviation, empowerment and rural development.
The Bombay Hemp Company, also popularly known as BOHECO (Bo-hee-ko) is a privately held company headquartered in Mumbai, India. Formed in February 2012 to research on and promote the industrial hemp super crop in India, was formally registered on the 19th of January, 2013, with our operations ranging from research, cultivation, harvesting, processing, manufacturing, trading, wholesaling, retailing, innovating, advocating and promoting industrial hemp in India.
